From onwards 1947, The rise in Real estate prices prompted several largely lower, middle-income class families to migrate to satellite cities of Mumbai like, Virar, Vasai, and Nallasopara. At that time Mira – Bhayander was part of the Gram Panchayat and consisted primarily of Agriculture land.

By the 1980s builders started to buy agricultural land and start developing townships.  The Mira – Bhayander Municipal Council was set on 12th June 1985. At the time of Gram Panchayat, it was known as Mira Gram Panchayat, which is from where Mira Road got its name.

Mira Road is not just a city for me, It’s a journey of agricultural land to become a city. I have seen the development work of the city closely. I and the city parallel growing and binding day by day new things in our journey and still it continues.

Now, The Infrastructure, Development, transportation systems &  the Cleanness of the city everything is well maintained by MBMC. The importance of Mira Road is increasing day by day and there are many other development works to be completed soon.

While living here since childhood I have seen the place convert from open ground to multi-storied tower. This Place has become a hot spot for residential and office goers.

Now development work is on only Mira Road’s east side, from North to south, which connect from Mira Road station to KashiMira and from Dahisar check-Naka to Kanakia all the area are well set and the development structures look on the ground.

I have visited multiple locations in Mumbai and other areas but very few areas look similar to Mira Road Development. A day was when nobody wanted to stay in this place and most of the living people looking to sell their property.

The current scenario is changing and people are very eager to know about this place and looking for the property to buy. The current population of Mira Road is more than 8 Lacs and they are happily living with all the cast, color, creed, and culture people.

The earlier mode of transportation on Mira Road was not so good but now the transportation connectivity is really effective. The best part of this location is that it connects you to Thane and Mumbai anywhere in simultaneously time duration. You will have the local train connectivity from Churchgate to Dahanu Road which covers the complete western belt. In just 1 hour of time, you can reach Churchgate from Mira Road and Dahanu Road in 1 hour 30 minutes.

As a Mumbaikar, we all know the importance of local train connectivity. Most of the people are office people they give first preference to the local which is cheapest and the best suitable use for the traveling.

Bus Connectivity-

Bus connectivity is generally for those people who want to travel within the city. Mira Bhayander provide this facility to people living in the city since 1st March 2006. It is operational in the city with the name of MIRA BHAYNDER MUNICIPAL TRANSPORT (MBMT). It covers all the areas of Mira Road. Other than this you will have the TMT direct bus from Mira Road station to Thane(TMT) and BEST provide services for the Mumbai side. Even you can travel by Bus from Mira Road to MAHIM and MULUND also.

Roads & Infrastructure

Generally, we people complain about road development and in most areas we get small and big size black-wholes on the road which are ready to turn our life in a second of mistakes. But I am very thankful to say this to all which is much better than any other place in Mumbai on Mira Road.

All roads are quite wide and well set with the design. It shows the government’s planning and hard work on the roads to keep them maintained properly. Mira road city’s internal and external routes and connectivity of the roads are appreciable nowhere you feel the disappointment of the work.

Building construction like JP North, MICL Aradhya, Dyanmix Group, Kalpatru, Asmita Group, Lodha and many more projects are turning the shape of Mira Road.

Infrastructure and development of Mira Road are booming, if you visit Mira Road then on every possible street of corner you can notice some development work. Road improvements, development work of the Metro line on Mira Bhayander road and etc. are binding the new pillars of the future.

In the coming days, you can enjoy two-line connectivity of the Metro, one is from Thane – Ghodbander – KashiMira side Metro Line No-10 route and another one is from Dahisar to Bhayander Metro Line-9 route work is under construction. This builds the image and appreciation rate of the areas.

From the Utthan beach, you can plan to go to the Exccel world to make your days more memorable. It is available at Bhanyander Creek, Vasai Creek, and Ghodbander Creek. Ghodbandar Creek has newly started short trips over the ship for people on weekends. You can plan a day on your weekend for Ship’s tour and boating.
